Could any harm to the fetus have occurred? Should I worry or just forget it and store the jar for post-pregnancy use? I just rechecked the ingredient list and it's actually betula alba (white birch) extract. I assume that's the same thing though? It's so hard to find safe skin care for during pregnancy! I don't know anything about white tea extract so I can't comment on that one. Birch oil is usually around 98 - 99% methyl salicylate and as such absorbs really quickly into the body. I am looking for safe skin care during pregnancy and found the Origins line that is paraben and phthalate free but has many essential oils in their face and body creams. One of which is white birch bark essential oil and white tea extract. Are these safe during pregnancy? Any recommendations on good safe products for face and body skin care?
